Just because you're my girlfriend...

Work has really been getting to me for the past couple of months and although I've done something about it and found a new job, I have to work a 3 month notice period and its really getting me down. I know I shouldn't complain as there are a lot of people out there who don't have jobs but I just found working where I am really stressful and it really started to affect me outside of work. I didn't feel like I was being me.

On top of that, I decided to step on our scales for a laugh and tipped them at 12st 4lb! Now, at 5"5' that gave me a wonderful BMI of 28.6 putting me firmly in the overweight category.

And I know there are bigger problems in the world but all in all I was feeling pretty rubbish about everything. Until these arrived!

I think Lew picked up on me not feeling myself! Now you have to understand, he's NEVER bought me flowers before and he has really bad hayfever so we have never had them in the house before so imagine my surprise when the lovely man from Interflora rang the doorbell brandishing these beauties!

They really are gorgeous and really cheered me up (I'm a bit of a flower freak)! Now to work out how to dry them and keep them forever...!

P.s For anyone who's interested, I'm now at 11st 13lb after two weeks of dieting. Still a way to go but slowly getting there.

Later on in my life...

After a lot of thought and being inspired by a lot of blogs out there I thought I would attempt to make my own and see how it goes!

To be completely honest it's probably going to be a lot of rambling about a lot of different things, mostly spaniels as they seem to rule my life, but also other things that we get up to on a day to day basis and things that we're interested in.

So, after all that, let me introduce us!

My name is Caroline and I work as a Personal Tax Advisor - probably one of the most boring sounding jobs in the world! I live with my boyfriend Lewis and our two Springer Spaniel puppies Monty (top picture) and Penny (bottom picture). Technically Monty is now a dog in actual age terms as he's 14months old but given that he likes to curl up on me and touch faces, I still refer to him as a puppy. Penny's only 7months and definitely still a puppy, chewing her way through skirting boards, carpets and even the wall! Finger crossed she grows out of it!

That's all for now but I really hope you enjoy the blog!
